Summers Commits to Indiana State University

The top freshman in the Jayhawk Conference has made his Division 1 decision.

Coffeyville guard Jahni Summers has committed to Indiana State University, joining a team that won 32 games last season and went to the NIT championship game.

Summers joins former assistant coach Jake Odum, who took a coaching position under new Sycamores coach Matthew Graves. Summers says he plans to work with Odum for a smooth transition.

Summers was one of the hardest workers in all of JUCO, and was the only freshman named to a KJCCC all-conference team. He says his motivation stems from proving people wrong.

Jahni will move to Terra Haute next month for summer workouts. He says he has fond memories and experiences from his time in Coffeyville.

Summers will have an opportunity to earn immediate playing time at ISU, and has three years of eligibility remaining.
