Richard Eugene Oliver, 91, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Richard was born January 9, 1933, in Iola, Kansas to Elmer John and Ada Marie Irwin Oliver. He Married Rosella Joan Sturgeon on August 6, 1952. They later divorced. Then he married Joyce Darlene (Spence) Grady on July 13, 1966.
He is survived by his son Rick (Stephanie) Oliver of Chanute, Daughter-in-law Mary, Step children Mike (Jan) Grady of Stockton, Missouri, Wes (Pam) Grady, Parsons, Kansas and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Elmer John and Ada Marie Irwin Oliver, Daughter Sherry Oliver Gianos, son Larry Oliver, Step children Darlene Schlegel and Archie Grady, Brothers Raymond Oliver and Robert Oliver and sister Judy Oliver Ulshafer. Cremation has been requested at this time. Services are under the guidance of Countryside Funeral Home.
