The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for its 2024 National Prescription Drug Take Back Campaign. National Take Back Day is a free event for communities nationwide to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications safely and anonymously.
On Saturday, April 27th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm anyone can bring old and unneeded medications to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office's south parking lot at 300 East Main Street in Independence or one of the other DEA collection sites, which can be found at deatakeback.com. Other collection sites in the county include the Coffeyville and Cherryvale Police Departments.
